Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary Elizabeth of Denmark visited Indonesia from 2 to 4 December 2019. She visited as Patron of United Nations Population Fund and to begin celebrations of Denmark and Indonesia 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
During the first day of her visit to Indonesia, Crown Princess Mary attended and spoke at the Healthy and Organic Parenting panel discussion which was organized by Arla Foods and Danish Government in Jakarta.
HRH Crown Princess Mary Elizabeth of Denmark focused on addressing the fight against infant mortality, maternal mortality, circumcision of girls and women, and that both women and men are entitled to a healthy life and to equal opportunities.
During her stay at Yogyakarta, she visited Borobudur temple and Keraton Yogyakarta. She also officially opened the celebrations of Denmark and Indonesia 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations at the Gala Dinner at The Heritage Convention Center in Borobudur Temple complex on 4 December 2019.
