To welcome new year, DanCham presents a gathering that was not only focus on the social event, but also a knowledge sharing.
On 22nd January 2019, DanCham held a gathering at Masters Sports Bar and Restaurant at The Bellagio Residence owned by one of DanCham member, Mr. Lars Lorentzen. Mr. Dan Christensen delivered a key presentation to share his experience as a General Site Manager of a wind farm project – largest of its kind in Indonesia – located in South Sulawesi. Around 35 participants attended, including DanCham members, Danish Embassy, Nordic chamber members, and DanCham’s guests who are interested to know more about how the project on renewable energy was done.
With project execution always being a major challenge in Indonesia, Dan in his usual candid, humorous and informal way, shared how his team managed the complexity of execution of such a large-scale project at a very remote location. He explained the project from the general information, challenges, even showed how the windmill’s part was transported and installed.
The discussion was alive and the participants were excited to ask questions regarding the presentation, about how the project was finally completed and how it will be utilized in the future.
After the question and answer session, the participants move to the Masters’ bar to enjoy the evening and started mingle around and do the networking. Overall. the event has been both informative and fun for the participants.
